Hot water

Our apartment has an electric hot water booster in the bathroom. We can get hot water from the shower and the sink in the bathroom, but not in the kitchen (Annoying!!!!). The booster is expensive to run, so we leave it unplugged most of the time, but obviously we have to plug it in to have a shower. It seems to take between 1 and 2 hours to heat up enough water for 2 x 5-7 mins showers.

So far I’ve been getting up around 5 or 6am each day to turn on the hot water, then sleeping again until wake-up time.

What I really want to get is one of those timers that let you program an electrical item to come on for a specific amount of time at a specific time each day.

I’m pretty sure that the ones you can buy in Australia are made in China, but I’m not sure if you can get them here. I’m definately looking out everywhere I go for them.

Have you thought of having shower in the afternoon, such as after work? That’s the Asian style!
