Our first guest!!
Posted by admin on January 8th, 2010 filed in MatthewAfter moving into our house less than a week ago, it has been our pleasure to welcome my best friend Steve to stay with us for a few days.
Steve and I met during DTS. We grew in a lot of the same areas and shared a lot during that time. Over the years I’ve visited him several times in Taiwan and he has visted me in Korea.
Of course, now that Cathryn and I live alone, we are lacking people who are willing to play board games with us. We were never going to give up such a great opportunity to play some Catan. Steve had never played before, but it seems that he’s well and truly hooked now!

Unfortunately, it seems that Cathryn and I have come down with something. Probably due to the lack of rest since we’ve arrived. We’re both suffering from sore throats, I have a bad cough and gunk in my nose and chest.
Hopefully, after we enrol in school tomorrow, we’ll have a few days to catch our breath and recover!
For those interested, Catan came down to a final round, where we were all going to win, but Cathryn inched ahead to take the 12 points, having 3 cities, 3 settlements, a 1VP development card and the longest road.

I’m sure he can just cook sausages for lunch and dinner every day… shouldn’t be a problem, and it will start a new Camp Pel legend of “the sausage camp”.

I’m sorry to read that you’re both sick, but what is Catan? Now, here’s a game that I’m trying to get hold of. It’s called Weed and it’s about drug dealers and it’s great to play – truly! Have you heard of it? If so, where can I buy it? Another great game is Jungle Jam. Mike bought them both in Canada. We still have JJ, but Weed was borrowed and now lost. Love ya! Annie
